This is a story about Ram and Rahim. They used to work for a small company owned by Mr John. Ram and Rahim worked very hard, day in and day out.Their efforts yielded results in terms of higher and higher profits for Mr John.Mr John invested all his moneys abroad in real estate, film productions, infrasturtures etc. Life of Ram and Rahim remained the same. They remained unsatisfied and sad due to uncomfortable and underdeveloped state of affairs in their life.
One fine moring John decided to quit his business and wanted to return back to his native land in the west.He called Ram and Rahim and told them about his plan.He informed them that the business will be divided between the two. Let them decide how they would want to choose the employees and other assets of the company between them.
Both of them unted to run the business in their own style.
Rahim went back home very very happy thinking what a great opportunity he has in hand. He will implement all his plans without any resistance from anybody.He met all his friends in his clans. He started planning careers for all his near and dear ones. He promised that he will eradicate unemployment and poverty of all his clan members.
he thought ,If he gets 50% of the business the entire clan will be employed and he will have everybody happy.
Ram on the other hand went home happy too. He also wanted to be the business head.It was his dream.He wanted to be the boss, bossying everybody around. For him religion ,sex, color did not matter as long as he is the boss.His ego would get a boost if people from all class, religion and colors follow his orders.He had a nice sound sleep that day.
The D-day arrived when John called both of them and wanted to know about the division of the company.
Rahim, as per his plan wanted 50% share of the company with a condition that all muslim employees will be employed in his company. His logic was, as the population of that area was >30 % muslim and the muslim population growth rate being higher than the average population growth rate.In the next 10 years at the same population growth rate there will be 50/50 representation. So he wanted 50% share of the company with all muslim employees.
Ram, told john he doesnt have any bias. He is happy employing anybody, so long as the employee is committed to do his best for his company.
Mr John was mighty pleased with Ram's attitude.He called his HR department and calculated the % of muslim employees in the company. It turned out to be 20% only.
He gave Rahim 20% of the business with all Muslim Employees and offered Ram 80% of his business.
Ram and Rahim fought over this for the rest of their lives
